The concept behind Owned is simple: A movie with a bunch of top notch, absolutely killer sections from some of today's best riders, produced by some of today's best videographers and editors. Owned was filmed over the course of 11 months at spots all over the world including Africa, Israel, Europe & North America. The riders and videographers for Owned dedicated themselves tirelessly to get one of the most amazing collections of eclectic riding styles together in one release.

The Birth of Big Air

In 1985, at the tender age of 13, Mat Hoffman entered into the BMX circuit as an amateur, and by 16 he had risen to the professional level. Academy Award nominee Spike Jonze and extreme sport fanatic Johnny Knoxville, along with director Jeff Tremaine, will showcase the inner workings and exploits of the man who gave birth to “Big Air.”

Rite of Spring

Set during the dog days of summer, a group of teenage boys inhabit a makeshift bike part in a secluded wooded area of Toronto. David (14) craves the attention of Peter (17), an older boy and a natural leader to the group, while being mercilessly teased by his best friend, John (14). When their hidden world is breached by an outsider, anger, fear and misunderstanding lead to a violent outburst.

BMX Bandits

Teens P.J. and Goose get their thrills on BMX bikes, performing hair-raising tricks all across Sydney, Australia. Along with their new friend Judy, they discover a box of walkie-talkies -- and find out that a gang of criminals intends to use them to monitor police signals during a bank robbery.
