Princess Žalmila is called the Owl of Noodles because she sheds rivers of tears. When the wizard Zlosos learns of her tearfulness, he is delighted. His power grows with the flow of human tears. It is therefore no surprise that Princess Žalmila mysteriously disappears from her home castle one day. At the request of her mother, Queen Trudmila, the benevolent king of the neighboring kingdom, Bertrand, promises to try to find her. However, he is not eager to join the search. Rotkäppchen und der Wolf

The first partly colored German fairy tale film directed by Fritz Genschow. The film has a frame story shot in black and white and a middle section in color that tells the story of Little Red Riding Hood, who is sent by her mother to her grandmother with cake and wine. On the way there, it passes through the dark forest. She meets the wicked wolf, to whom she reveals the location of her grandmother's house. The wolf rushes to her grandmother's house, eats her whole, puts on her hood and lies down in bed. When Little Red Riding Hood arrives, he eats her too. The "Uncle Hunter" appears as a rescuer in uniform and frees them both from the wolf's belly.

During harvest festival at a collective farm, a visiting dance troupe reunites a ballerina with her childhood friend Zina. In order to teach her unfaithful husband a lesson, Zina, the ballerina, and the ballerina’s husband decide to swap roles for the evening… Alexei Ratmansky invokes the genius of Shostakovich’s score at the Bolshoi, creating a laugh-out-loud masterpiece with its bits of slapstick comedy, hilarious deceptions, false identities including Principal Dancer Ruslan Skvortsov dressed as a Sylph and its many colorful characters!
