James Bond must find out how and why. The idea for Hyped! is that the film shall convey the feeling of ultimate excitement. We are trying to focus more on how fun snowboarding actually is, not how hard it is. People can expect seeing their favorite Nitro riders riding stuff that the viewer hopefully can relate to more. Instead of only showing the best tricks on the perfect locations (we will show that as well), we are trying to show how the Nitro riders are snowboarding when all pressure is off. The goal is to capture that feeling you get when you are riding with your best friends, on a perfect day, and you never wanna stop riding.

Learning to Splitboard the Northern Rockies

Splitboarding is a fast-growing sport for snowboarders who want to venture out of the resorts and into the backcountry. A splitboard is a snowboard that splits in half and allows the snowboarder to cross-country ski into the mountains. You then put the board back together and ride down. Snowboarding in the backcountry is an entirely different sport than snowboarding at a resort. A rider gets only a fraction of the runs because they have to earn every foot of ascent. But when taking on these extra challenges ones could be rewarded with the best deep-powder snowboarding that nature has to offer; you won't find these conditions at a ski resort. Alex Maier has been snowboarding his whole life, but that was in the midwest. When he moves to Montana he has to start from scratch, this series shows what it takes to get into the backcountry safely and effectively.

Up in the Sky

Factor Films has been on the marketplace for several years now presenting the Scandinavian snowboard scene to the rest of the world. Their latest work is Up In The Sky, a snowboard movie filmed mainly in Iceland and Norway featuring young and mostly unknown riders along with more famous ones like Torstein Horgmo, Stale Sandbech and Kareem El Rafie. The riding level, needless to say, is very high but the photography and soundtrack are also well tuned to give a light feeling. Most of the tricks are so dope and easily stomped that you don’t even notice until you see it a second time..
