A meditative film about the processes of consciousness of a local gangster and his attempts to break away from the group of fellow bohemian villains. The stilled narrative suggests themes such as generalized surveillance, the metamorphosis of the political regime only on the surface in post-communism, the impossibility of escaping from a system – favorite themes of the 90s. Through its metaphorical stylistics, the film is part of a tradition with which the films produced by the National Theatre & Film Academy (ATF) would be associated. -Gabriela Filippi

Šimon (46) has been suffering from insomnia for several years. Behind the illusion of a secure and happy life, he has a monotonous job he doesn't like, his wife looks down on him, his son doesn’t take him seriously, and Šimon has long since lost any hope for change. But then he discovers a 16-year-old YouTuber on his son’s computer whose ASMR videos finally help him to sleep. But he soon realises that the girl means much more to him than he had thought. The illusion begins to crumble.

Every person who worked on this film, aside from one of our actors, is a student at Ohio University and has worked on bringing this story to life since October 2022. Set in 2016, Infinity follows the story of two drastically different teenage girls who experience the pressures of growing up and falling in love far too fast. This film is the broad outline for a much larger story, one we hope to continue in the future if given the opportunity!

A detective micro-story, which is a study of a young policeman who, despite being overlooked by his colleagues, embarks on a new similar case of an abused girl, and thus uncovers a case that was originally closed... The young director Igor Savičevič is a recent graduate of the FAMO in Písek. The script for his film Behind the Cross was created in close pedagogical cooperation with the school and the dramaturgy of the Czech Television - but also essential was the cooperation and consultation with the Czech police, who drew the author's attention to the important way of constructing interrogations of the accused and the methods of conducting the interrogation - from a simple detective story of a kidnapping it became an interesting picture of the investigation process.
