Ragtime Reunion Concert

This special event celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Broadway production. Ragtime weaves an electrifying tapestry of three families from vastly different worlds, colliding and converging as they chase the American Dream through a tumultuous era of hope, despair and the revolutionary sounds of ragtime.

This musical adaptation of the Studs Terkel book examines the average worker's viewpoint--showing that he or she is anything but average. Based on a series of interviews with real working people--construction workers, waitresses, firemen, secretaries, and cleaning women, Working is both an exploration of the individuals' occupations and a lament for lost hopes and dreams.

The Metropolitan Opera: Il Barbiere di Siviglia

Mezzo-soprano Aigul Akhmetshina headlines a winning ensemble as the feisty heroine, Rosina, alongside high-flying tenor Jack Swanson, in his Met debut, as her secret beloved, Count Almaviva. Baritone Andrey Zhilikhovsky stars as Figaro, the titular barber of Seville, with bass-baritone Peter Kálmán as Dr. Bartolo and bass Alexander Vinogradov as Don Basilio rounding out the principal cast.
