The originality of the show lies in the gap between the narrative provided by the voice-over (omnipresent) and the visible, concrete actions played on stage by the characters in an almost silent film: their play, sometimes very poetic, transcends narration. From Padua to Venice, the mathematician shakes certainties by confronting the power of a Church which wishes to maintain its absolute power in the "crystal spheres" where Ptolemy has hitherto locked up the world.

It is a three-part film: The first part is a documentary-style production of a play; Then the actual full stage production of the play; and the epilogue. Timon of Athens
