Tenants of one old building in the centre of Münich are featured in this film: most of them are foreigners who work in Germany as "guest workers" (Yugoslavs, Italians, Turks, Greeks etc.). In their mother tongue, each of them tells who he or she is, and briefly talks about their major worries, new hopes and plans for the future.

Diligently saving up his wages he hopes to one day marry and buy a house back home, but his immediate future in Berlin is clouded by indignities at the hands of racist coworkers and botched attempts at romantic intimacy.

Between them two there's young woman, Mila, who has had experience with the second one. Running away from the man who is the incarnation of evil for her, she is trying to find happiness and peace with another one in vain.

A Croatian guest worker who worked in Germany for many years, builds a house and a workshop for his 20 year old son back in their country of origin. However the son plans to marry his German girlfriend, and doesn't even think of returning to their land.

Šarūnas Bartas: kur aš esu šiandien

In the short film "Sharunas Bartas: where am I now" director looks for an answer to the question retrospectively and with a perspective towards the future. Reflections on meaning of life and cinema blends in as do autoportrait and portrait genres. In laconic manner director Sharunas Bartas gives quintesense of his thoughts and ideas, more importantly, his feelings and experiences. The film was initiated by Pompidou Art Centre, which recently organized Retrospective of Sharunas Bartas.

Skating Polly: Ugly Pop

Working conditions in the worst-paid jobs in the Czech Republic were examined by journalist Saša Uhlová during six months. She spent several weeks in a hospital laundrette, poultry house, cash register or waste sorting facility. Her experience became the basis of a lived and very personal report of invisible employees working in appalling conditions. Uhlová wrote a series of reports on her project that were published on the Alarm website. Apolena Rychlíková made them into a documentary film consisting of scenes shot at Uhlová's home and video footage taken during her work. Uhlová accompanies the picture with read commentary.
