Nanook of the North

This pioneering documentary film depicts the lives of the indigenous Inuit people of Canada's northern Quebec region. Although the production contains some fictional elements, it vividly shows how its resourceful subjects survive in such a harsh climate, revealing how they construct their igloo homes and find food by hunting and fishing. The film also captures the beautiful, if unforgiving, frozen landscape of the Great White North, far removed from conventional civilization.

Ice Waterfalls

Catalan adventurer and elite kayaker Aniol Serrasolses shatters boundaries on his Arctic expedition to Norway when he descends a 20m-high ice waterfall - the largest ever recorded kayak drop from a glacial waterfall. He and his team have to voyage across the arctic circle to the Svalbard archipelago in Norway to search for the elusive and temporary waterfalls. Once there, they must climb the treacherous glacial cliffs and hike for kilometers over the ice shelf to access the glacial rivers which run over the frozen cliffs and fall from the huge heights into the sea.

Locked In

Ben Stookesberry and a group of kayakers attempt a first descent of the Beriman River in Papua New Guinea. The daunting 40km run is lined with many dangers and no way out but to ride out to the ocean. Follow them as they make the plunge into the unknown in this arduous but rewarding paddling experience.

Africa by Kayak

In 2007, Beau attempted to paddle 4000kms from one side of Africa to the other. Starting in Mozambique, he continued along the Southern African coast, allowing five months to complete the voyage. Louis-Philippe Fourchaume, another typical lead-role for French comedy superstar Louis de Funès, is the dictatorial CEO of a French company which designs and produces sail yachts, and fires in yet another tantrum his designer André Castagnier, not realizing that man is his only chance to land a vital contract with the Italian magnate Marcello Cacciaperotti. So he has to find him at his extremely rural birthplace in 'la France profonde', which proves a torturous odyssey for the spoiled rich man; when he does get there his torment is far from over: the country bumpkin refuses to resume his slavish position now the shoe is on the other foot, so Fourchaume is dragged along in the boorish family life, and at times unable to control his temper, which may cost him more credit then he painstakingly builds up...
