The Snowboarder Movie: SFD

SFD is not just a saying. It’s a movement. An ideology. An approach. A choice made deliberately to dedicate one’s life to snowboarding’s counter-culture philosophy. Last winter, SNOWBOARDER Magazine hand-picked sixteen riders whom we believed to encompass this philosophy and sent them around the world to make the best snowboard movie of the year. From Japan to Canada and the United States to Europe, the SFD crew found the deepest powder, the darkest city streets and the most pristine park jumps to showcase their world-renowned skills on and the result is a snowboard film that will be talked about for ages. Lines

The documentary follows a crew of snowboarders for six weeks in the Chugach mountains, and showcases what it takes to ride these unique Alaskan mountains: the waiting, the stress, the dangers, everything that goes into it and is usually never shown. It also retraces some of the history of this unknown discipline and pays tribute to the pioneers. But the film really focuses on the human aspect and why these people do what they do.

Chulksmack

This year, Brad Kremer finds a new home at Mack Dawg Productions, bringing his trademark manic energy, humor, and flawless eye for shooting snowboarding action to Chulksmack. As you’d expect, Mack Dawg once again ‘ups the ante’ with some of this season’s burliest jumps, jibbing, street rails, and awe-inspiring tricks from the world’s top athletes. Down With People

Mack Dawg Productions People Crew is back at it again with our new 2008 release, Down With People. Last years movie We're People Too had major successes, including Austin Smith winning TransWorld SNOWboarding Magazine's "Rookie of the Year" and "Video Part of the Year" from his standout debut.

We're People Too! and 2007 will feature all the things kids love about a proper video from some fun-loving PEOPLE. The movie will start with an intro and will then fade into first part. Since fresh blood is running thick in this year's roster, first part could end up being a big surprise. Jumping With Jussi

Jumping with Jussi is an instructional movie for freestyle jumping. It's impossible to cover every single trick, so we decided to go with my favorites. From the beginning to the more technical 900's, there is something for everyone! I teamed up with Mack Dawg Productions to ensure the very best film quality. We cover every possible angle so you get the clear vision what I'm talking about.

Feuer und Eis

For JOHN EAVES, six-time winner of the Freestyle World Cup and stunt man for James Bond, it's love at first sight. For World Champion Freestyle skier SUZY CHAFFEE, it's a see-ya-later-buddy. But John doesn't give up easily. He decides that if the only way to win her means following her across country, then that's what he'll do. Starting in Manhattan he trudges 3,000 miles, through urban jungle and flatland desert, all the time fantasizing about what they'll do when they're together. Brain Dead And Having A Heart Attack

Think Thank's most mind numbing, heart stopping freestyle snowboard video ever! Brain Dead Heart Attack marked a decade of snowboard videos for Think Thank, which was always one of the goals when it started. The concept was that the Brain Dead side would feature the dudes who have been around awhile at least in Think Thank videos, some of whom were quite literally brain dead. Heart Attack side would be the launch pad precursor for the new faces who would go on to film for Think Thank Almanac. We were moving out of the brain and into the heart; the heart of a new era of Think Thank, a crew of friends snowboarding together and filming each other, much like how it started 10 years ago.

That's It, That's All

Dedicated to everything snowboarding, Travis Rice and a dream team crew set out on a seek-and-destroy operation for the new zone, the new trick and the new perspective on the sport. Aspiring to bring you closer, the Hi Def, 35mm, super16 footage answers the question why Trice and his friends have poured blood, sweat, tears and soul into a simple thing like snowboarding.

First Descent

First Descent is a 2005 documentary film about snowboarding and its beginning in the 1980s. The snowboarders featured in this movie (Shawn Farmer, Nick Perata, Terje Haakonsen, Hannah Teter and Shaun White with guest appearances from Travis Rice) represent three generations of snowboarders and the progress this young sport has made over the past two decades. Most of the movie was shot in Alaska.
