Bootlegger/cafe owner, Johnny Franks recruits crude working man Scorpio to join his gang, masterminded by crooked criminal defense lawyer Newton. Fortunately the film was played for comedy, a wise decision since it probably would have garnered laughs as a straight drama anyway.
