Through the efforts of expedition stand-up paddler Norm Hann, an aboriginal high school class building their own stand-up paddleboards as a form of protest, and the powerful surfing of iconic west coast native Raph Bruhwiler, the diversity of people, landscape and wildlife that would be affected by an oil spill is articulated. Stand takes you to the core of the issue and unfurls the soul of B.C.'s west coast one paddle stroke at a time.

The Broken Brothers Brass Band visits the Andrés Muñoz Garde public special education school in Pamplona. And through their interaction with the workers, the volunteers and even the beneficiaries, the work that is done there is revealed, the universe that is hidden there.

ROLLER DERBY IN THE LAGE LANDEN

In this short documentary, we take a look at the history and future of roller derby in the Netherlands, while also touching on subjects such as image and the rise of men’s teams in this traditionally female sport. We tried to capture the Roller Derby culture with grungy 16mm film overlays and an eclectic mix of colors, switching from black and white, back to color. This, combined with the use of stock footage, the Whip It trailer and choice of music really help to sell the vibe and sensibilities of roller derby.

This is a documentary that follows a group of friends as they see what it takes to play at the first ever Roundnet World Championships. Showcasing Roundnet as a sport on the rise as well as the incredible community behind the weird and wonderful game.
