Barber Gull Rub

Winnipeg Film Group. Deep in the winter of 1986. Guy Maddin is in the process of filming Tales from the Gimli Hospital and needs to rub a dead seagull on somebody's chest. Immediately, Dave Barber agrees, submitting his bare flesh to Maddin's road kill and to film history. Anatar

After causing the collapse of their own planet, the Anatar people of humanoid aliens who evolved from ducks, are searching for a new celestial body to call a nest. During their wanderings in space they land on Pandono, a place where living beings and nature have found their strange balance. Love, war, spaceships and space ducks are the ingredients of this grotesque modern fairy tale about accepting what is different from us.

Utilizing interviews taken from over 600 hours of footage, and peppered with extraordinary Star Wars and Indiana Jones recreations lovingly immortalized in song, needlepoint, Lego, claymation, puppets and paper-mâché, above all this film asks the question: who truly owns that galaxy far, far away—the man who created it, or the fans who worship it?

A short film parody of the classic science fiction film Star Wars. It premiered in theaters only seven months after Star Wars and consisted of little more than inside jokes and visual puns that heavily depended upon audience familiarity with the original.

The Mormondalorian

The Mormondalorian is an all-new tale about the famed Mormon (For lack of a demonym) missionary Elder Mando, who is unwillingly paired with rookie Elder Grogu on a search to find the lost Elder Kurtz. Along for the ride are Han Solo, Baptist Fett, and Jedi Bob, all keys to the puzzle of the missing missionary. The Mormondalorian was written and directed by Michael Tetto and stars Ryder Gold, Luke Cypher, Kenny Holmes, Noah Vreeland, Michael Tetto, Ammon Shepherd, and esteemed cosplayer Stefen Altau, with editing provided by Ammon Shepherd and Joseph Tetto. Any and all music used in the film is widely available and open for public use, probably.

A short comedy film that utilizes claymation to parody Star Trek, Star Wars, and Terminator, among other things.

Star Wars: A New Toke

A long time ago in a lockdown far, far away... a filmmaker had nothing better to do, so she recreated her favourite film from memory but only using assets from 1995's children's game/ animation software/ fever dream Microsoft 3D Movie Maker. What resulted was a surreal animated homage.

"The palm trees on the reverse are a delusion; so is the pink sand". This line, taken from a poem by Margaret Atwood, lights the path traced in "Postcard". As the years go by, landscapes transform, take on new meanings, and hold onto joys that will never be regained. The sea and the beach, once stages of happy summers, romances, and encounters, will turn into concentration camps or centers of detention and torture. This occurs across different times and places. In this piece, I embark on a journey through some of my works that explore the relationship between testimony, spaces, and time, engaging in dialogue with the beautiful film directed by Alejandro Segovia in 1972.
