Reel Rock

Every fall the REEL ROCK Film Tour brings the year's most exciting new climbing films to live audiences around the world. For 2010, the tour features six amazing short films, with stories from the cutting edge of alpine climbing, bouldering, sport climbing, and traditional climbing.

First Ascent

First Ascent is Sender Films' groundbreaking 6-part series that takes you to the cutting edge of adventure. Produced over two years on five continents, First Ascent follows the greatest climbers to majestic locations around the globe on their quests to redefine what is possible in the mountains.

Rock Stars

Rock Stars is a documentary/reality television series that follows a team of rock scalers from a slope stabilization/rock remediation company. The series is produced by Echo Entertainment for the National Geographic Channel. Ten episodes have been created so far, the first airing on November 22, 2011.

The Climb

In this all-encompassing competition series, amateur climbers are put through a rigorous series of mental and physical challenges, utilizing the most intimidating ascents in the world to crown the world’s best amateur climber.

Arctic Ascent with Alex Honnold

Alex Honnold leads an expedition to Greenland to climb a huge 4,000 foot sea cliff and investigate the impacts climate change on the region.

Rockface

Rockface is a British television drama series which was broadcast on BBC One from 2002 to 2003. It ran for two series: the first six episodes were broadcast from 13 March to 17 April 2002 on Wednesday nights; the second series of eight episodes ran from 25 May to 27 July 2003 on Sunday nights. The series is set in Glenntannoch, a fictitious town in the Scottish Highlands, and centres around a mountain rescue team led by Dr Gordon Urquhart. The major rescues and incidents in the series were based on real life rescues conducted by the Lochaber Mountain Rescue service.

The Men Who Built America

The Men Who Built America is the story of a nation at the crossroads and of the people who catapulted it to prosperity.

Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown

Bourdain travels across the globe to uncover little-known areas of the world and celebrate diverse cultures by exploring food and dining rituals. Known for his curiosity, candor, and acerbic wit, Bourdain takes viewers off the beaten path of tourist destinations – including some war-torn parts of the world – and meets with a variety of local citizens to offer a window into their lifestyles, and occasionally communes with an internationally lauded chef on his journeys.

Animal ER

Follow the highly trained doctors and staff of Houston’s Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists as they perform high-end, specialized veterinary medicine on domestic and exotic animals. Watch as they perform a double root canal on a Chimpanzee, a life-saving hysterectomy on a Bengal tiger, and dental surgery to restore functional living to a police dog.

Project XX

Early NBC series showcasing compilation films - documentaries made from existing archival footage. Patterned on the successful Victory at Sea, it employed fast-paced editing, music, and narration. Concentrating on public affairs and public life, it steered clear of controversial subjects and enjoyed strong ratings, inspiring many competitors such as Air Power and The Twentieth Century. In later years, however, it would be criticized as superficial in comparison to "serious" documentary and current events programs.

In 2000, Funbag Animation, based in Ottawa, created an animated "For Better or for Worse" series for Teletoon, which aired from November 5, 2000, to December 16, 2001. The show, introduced by Lynn Johnston, explored three storylines from different periods of the comic strip: the mid-1980s, early 1990s, and late 1990s.
