As a new mining season begins the crews push to find the most gold yet. This season it’s all hands on deck as dredging for gold becomes a family affair. Todd Hoffman will have three generations of men working on the claim. Parker Schnabel finds out that one season of gold mining has nothing to do with the next. While Tony Beets has to get a 75 year old machine to actually produce gold.
2015
This season the miners will take on even greater risks in hopes of finding more gold than ever before. It’s a sad start for Parker after losing his grandfather and mentor and Parker’s leadership will be tested. Meanwhile, Todd Hoffman takes the biggest gamble of his life, moving his entire operation to Oregon.
2016
Season 8 premiered on October 13, 2017. The season finds the Hoffman and Schnabel crews wagering 100 ounces of gold to the company that mines the most gold, with both vying for a 5,000-ounce season goal. Meanwhile, Tony Beets is disassembling, transporting, and reassembling another vintage dredge, resurrecting a method of placer mining that has not been in common use in Dawson City for half a century.

It's a season of change as Rick Ness breaks from Parker Schnabel to start a claim of his own, while Parker has everything on the line while he battles with Tony Beets over land, and Tony is singlemindedly out to double his equipment and profits.

Treasure Hunters is a reality television series on NBC and Global Television in which ten teams of three solve puzzles and complete challenges in hopes of solving the ultimate puzzle and winning the grand prize. Teams travel across the United States and Europe in search of seven "artifacts" which when assembled will "lead to the key. Find the key, and find the treasure." The challenges and puzzles are spliced with American history, and the ultimate goal is to find a hidden treasure, leading the show to be compared on various occasions to the film National Treasure. The value of the treasure in the series was revealed on the season finale to be $3,000,000. The two-hour premiere episode aired on June 18, 2006 and beginning June 26 the series moved to its regular Monday night timeslot. The season finale was broadcast live on August 21, 2006. The Hunt is similar in format to The Amazing Race.
