0Let's Learn Japanese (Basic I) consists of twenty-six lessons, one of which will be telecast each time. In addition to the skits about Yan, the lessons include shorter "mini-skits" which show how the expressions being studied are used in a variety of situations, helping to make their meaning clearer.
Let's Learn Japanese (Basic II), planned by the Japan Foundation, is a television course for anyone interested in learning the Japanese language and getting to know the Japanese way of life. It is based on Episodes 14-26 of the video drama, "Yan and the Japanese People", which features the experiences of a young foreign man who lives in Tokyo. The use of this drama in the programs makes the task of language learning more enjoyable, and ensures also that the viewers will pick up a great deal of information about contemporary Japanese life. Watch Mr. Wizard was an American television program for children that demonstrated the science behind ordinary things. The show's creator and on-air host was Don Herbert. Marcel LaFollette said of the program, "It enjoyed consistent praise, awards, and high ratings throughout its history. At its peak, Watch Mr. Wizard drew audiences in the millions, but its impact was far wider. By 1956, it had prompted the establishment of more than five thousand Mr. Wizard science clubs, with an estimated membership greater than one hundred thousand." Cyberchase is an American/Canadian television series for children ages 7-13. The series takes place in Cyberspace, a virtual world, and chronicles the adventures of three children, Jackie, Inez, and Matt, as they use math and problem solving skills to save Cyberspace and its leader, Motherboard, from The Hacker, the villain. Cyberchase has received generally positive reviews and won numerous awards. Thirteen/WNET New York and Nelvana produced the first five seasons, while Thirteen, in association with Title Entertainment, Inc. and WNET.ORG, produced seasons six through eight. The show airs on Public Broadcasting Service and PBS Kids GO! in the United States. All episodes have been released free on the Cyberchase Website. Since July 2010, Cyberchase has been put on hiatus, but was announced that starting in November, Cyberchase will be revived and start airing new episodes with its 9th season.

Science International, later retitled What Will They Think Of Next!, is a Canadian television series produced by Global Television Network from 1976 to 1979. Each episode featured approximately 20 short segments on scientific developments and trivia, narrated by Joseph Campanella and Tiiu Leek for its initial seasons. Kerrie Keane replaced Leek later in the series run. The hosts also appeared on camera, usually with chromakey effects behind them such as animation. The format of the series alternated between filmed footage of new inventions and developments and limited-animation segments usually focusing on more off-beat developments. In the US, this series aired in the early-1980s on Nickelodeon, with almost all episodes airing under the What Will They Think Of Next? title, however, Nickelodeon did air some episodes under the "Science International" title.
