With Barracuda, Daniele Luttazzi imported for the first time in Italy the TV genre of the "Late Show" created in the United States in the fifties by the presenter Steve Allen). In each episode, Luttazzi interviewed in the studio various personalities from the world of entertainment, cinema, music, politics and journalism. The program, in addition to an opening satirical monologue, also included comedy sketches with guests and humorous columns.

The Mrs Merton Show

The Mrs Merton Show is a mock chat show starring Caroline Aherne as the elderly host Mrs Merton. It ran from 10 February 1995 to 2 April 1998 and was produced by Granada Television and aired on the BBC. The writers included Aherne, Craig Cash, Dave Gorman and Henry Normal. Prior to TV success, Aherne's Mrs Merton character appeared on Frank Sidebottom's album "5/9/88", then made her TV debut on the 1991 Channel 4 gameshow Remote Control, hosted by Anthony H Wilson. The chat show was followed up by a sitcom, Mrs Merton and Malcolm, based on Mrs Merton and her son Malcolm, who was played by Craig Cash.

I Dream

A British children's musical television comedy programme aimed at and mostly about teenagers, which aired in 2004. It was set at an esteemed performing arts college near Barcelona, Spain, and focuses on 13 teenagers who are invited to enrol at the college, Avalon Heights, over the summer. All eight members of the pop group S Club 8 star in the show alongside five other young actors and actresses and Hollywood film actor Christopher Lloyd. The show has the members of S Club 8 playing supposedly exaggerated versions of themselves, albeit with identical names to their real life counterparts. Each episode of the show includes several songs and dance numbers involving both members and non-members of the band. Cast member George Wood called the show "a modern day Fame".

Although it is in this weird place that he is going to find everything he was looking for: true friends and a rock'n'roll band that doesn't care about stereotypes, only the passion for music. The Under-Undergrounds, together, will have lots of fun adventures trying to help Hector find his way back home. Let Them Eat Cake is a British sitcom starring Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders set in France, 1782, just seven years before the French Revolution. It is one of the few programmes in which French and Saunders have appeared which they did not create themselves.
