The series depicts two wealthy socialites, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, as they struggle to do manual, low-paying jobs such as cleaning rooms, farm work, serving meals in fast-food restaurants and working as camp counselors.

Rich Girls was an MTV reality show that aired for one season in the fall of 2003 and winter of 2004. The program followed the lives of the daughters of two very successful businessmen: Ally Hilfiger and her then-best friend Jaime Gleicher as they completed their final semester of high school, graduated and spent the ensuing summer together. They are shown shopping and gossiping in a series of luxurious locales such as: London, the Hamptons, Hilfiger's family estates in Nantucket and tropical British West Indies, as well as Los Angeles. However, their home base and the setting for much of the action was New York City. Ally and Jaime were the show's eponymous "rich girls" because Hilfiger's father is Tommy Hilfiger, the multi-millionaire owner of the same named fashion label and Gleicher's late father, Leo, was the founder of Innovation Luggage, a company with a net worth of $10 million. Notable cameos that occurred during the program included American Idol judge Randy Jackson who ran into the girls at a Los Angeles eatery, former President of the United States Bill Clinton who attended a special screening of the World War II film Proud held aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, and Ally's famous dad, who invited his daughter to his workplace to critique his sportswear line.

The series produced six episodes, two of which were broadcast, and focused on Brandon and Brody Jenner and their friend Spencer Pratt as they found themselves in the midst of various hijinks.

I Want To Be a Hilton is a 2005 weekly NBC reality television series that was hosted by Kathy Hilton. The show featured people who "Wanted to be like a Hilton." The finalist of the competition receives a prize package that includes a $200,000 trust fund, a new apartment, wardrobe and the opportunity to get to know the Hiltons. They resided at a fancy New York hotel and were divided into two teams, "Park" and "Madison". In each episode, they were required to perform certain tasks, ranging from dog grooming, a fashion show and organizing a charity event, while learning etiquette and manners. As they competed, Hilton guided them through a variety of challenges that cover subjects ranging from art and culture to beauty and fashion. Hilton met with the losing team at the end of each episode and eliminated one contestant with the catchphrase, "You're not on the list." The show was originally entitled The Good Life, to tie it in to Paris Hilton's reality show The Simple Life. The show was not renewed for a second season.

Family Affair is an American sitcom that aired on CBS from September 12, 1966 to September 9, 1971. The series explored the trials of well-to-do civil engineer and bachelor Bill Davis as he attempted to raise his brother's orphaned children in his luxury New York City apartment. Davis' traditional English gentleman's gentleman, Mr. Giles French, also had adjustments to make as he became saddled with the responsibility of caring for 15-year-old Cissy and the 6-year-old twins, Jody and Buffy. The show ran for 138 episodes. Family Affair was created and produced by Don Fedderson, also known for My Three Sons and The Millionaire.
