The show garnered both high ratings and positive feedback from viewers and critics, from its premiere telecast.

It made its second broadcast on U.S. television on April 27, 2012. The show, known for its "no cool kids" atmosphere, has been called "oddly uplifting", a "cult hit," "an often riveting experiment in seat-of-your-pants broadcasting," and has gained viewers from around the world.
