Four Corners is Australia's longest-running investigative journalism/current affairs television program. Founding producer Robert Raymond and his successor Allan Ashbolt did much to set the ongoing tone of the program. Based on the Panorama concept, the program addresses a single issue in depth each week, showing either a locally produced program or a relevant documentary from overseas. The program has won many awards for investigative journalism, and broken many high-profile stories. A notable early example of this was the show's epoch-making 1962 exposé on the appalling living conditions endured by many Aboriginal Australians living in rural New South Wales.

(CA) A team led by criminologist and former detective Dr. Mike Arntfield uses its advanced skills, which include medical biophysics and private investigating along with 21st-century technology to try to solve longstanding mysteries and give victims' families closure. In each episode, the team goes into the field in search of new leads by talking with family members, dissecting new and old evidence, and re-enacting the crimes in their quest to solve these longstanding mysteries.

Time Team

Time Team is a British television series which has been aired on British Channel 4 from 1994. Created by television producer Tim Taylor and presented by actor Tony Robinson, each episode featured a team of specialists carrying out an archaeological dig over a period of three days, with Robinson explaining the process in layman's terms. This team of specialists changed throughout the series' run, although has consistently included professional archaeologists such as Mick Aston, Carenza Lewis, Francis Pryor and Phil Harding. The sites excavated over the show's run have ranged in date from the Palaeolithic right through to the Second World War.
