The story is set in Edo's Fukagawa district, where the heroine, Oichi, dreams of becoming a doctor and assists her father, a physician named Shōan. With a cheerful and positive outlook, Oichi, together with a local police chief, delves into the darkness of human nature, solving mysteries along the way. While the story offers the thrill of a period mystery with unexpected culprits, it is also a coming-of-age tale of Oichi as she struggles and ultimately carves out her own path using her unique powers.

One day, she was attacked by a tiger and Thewarit, son of the vassal prince, said that he would help her. That made Thiankham feel grateful and respectful towards him. Finally, she became his mistress. Wongduean, who is Thewarit's wife, is so angry. Thiankham tragically dies and vows to be strong and fierce in the next life, so she can get revenge on everyone who treated her badly.

Prangthip befriends Thodsanon and people start to gossip about them, especially Nethmaya, who likes him. She uses dark magic to find out if Prangthip is really human.
